Humans and androids crowd the raucous streets of New Beijing. A deadly plague ravages the population. From space, a ruthless lunar people watch, waiting to make their move. No one knows that Earth’s fate hinges on one girl....
Cinder, a gifted mechanic, is a cyborg. She’s a second-class citizen with a mysterious past, reviled by her stepmother and blamed for her stepsister’s illness. But when her life becomes intertwined with the handsome Prince Kai’s, she finds herself at the center of an intergalactic struggle, and a forbidden attraction.

Cinder (Cinderella), Scarlett (Little Red Riding Hood), Cress (Rapunzel), and Winter (Snow White).

All the things we have featuring PIRATES

Some of our pirate authors:

J.M. Barrie  --  Dave Barry/Ridley Pearson  --  Caroline Carlson  --  Brian Jacques  --  Celia Rees  --  Justin Somper  --  Robert Louis Stevenson  --  Paul Stewart

My Favorite Pirate Book:

Picture
Age: 9+   Series: Edge Chronicles (12 books in all)

When thirteen-year-old Twig discovers that he was abandoned at birth by an unknown outsider, he leaves his woodtroll family behind and sets off on a journey through and beyond the dangerous Deepwoods. As he makes his way through a nightmarish world of goblins and trogs, bloodthirsty beasts and flesh-eating trees, only two things keep Twig going: the mystery of his identity and the promise of a heroic destiny ...

and skypirates ... don't forget the skypirates ... the ruthless pirates who ride around in airborne ships, patrolling the 'edge' as well as upwards to 'Sanctaphrax', the city in the sky ...

The pencil illustrations are beautiful, the story moves well, there's a whole series of books (12 in all) and I thoroughly enjoyed each and every one of them.
